Alamo Tennessee May the 7th AD 1888


It appearing to the court that ALLICE and LUCY WARD are minors and that as heirs of THOMAS WARD decd they are entitled to a prorate of a fund in the hands of the C & M of the chancery Court said fund being only $10.35 each and it appearing that said amount is two small to Justify the appointment of a Guardian It is therefore ordered that the said fund be paid to MRS. SALLIE WARD the mother of OLLIE WARD and Grand Mother of LUCY WARD or to W. H. BIGGS her attorney and the said money can be expended by her for their benefit as she may think best to their interest and it further appearing that there still will be other sums coming in to the hands of the C & M for said minors arising from the collection of notes in his hands but that altogather it will not exceed the sum of $150 it is ordered that the said MRS. WARD can receive the same when collected to be expended as here in before directed.

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that heretofore on the 7th day of May 1888 an order was made by the county Court that the funds in the case of WARD VS WARD [nothing on index stating Ward VS Ward] in the hands of the C & M blonging to OLLIE and LUCY WARD heirs of THOMAS WARD decd to pay said funds to MRS. SALLIE WARD or her atty W. H. BIGGS. And it further appearing to the satisfaction of the court y petition of MRS. E. S. AVERY who is the mother of LUCY WARD that it is necessary to appoint a guardian for her said child LUCY and asking W. N. BEASLEY be appointed and qualified as said Guardian. It is therefore ordered and decreed that the order made at the May term 1888 as to LUCY WARD be and the same is hereby recinded and the said petition is hereby granted for the appointment of W. N. BEASLEY as guardian of LUCY WARD minor heir of WM. WARD deceased

Thereupon the said W. N. BEASLEY came into open court and entered into bond in the sum of Two Hundred Dollars with B. H. HARMON and R. R. SMITH as his securities…
