Thomas Ward to Deed 1 Acres J. H. PARKER and other Trustees Rec’d Feb 3, 1870 at 10:18 O’clock A. M.I, THOMAS WARD, for the love and affection that I entertain for the PRIMITIVE BAPTIST CHURCH that assembles at the Meeting House called MOUNT MORIAH have this day given guarantee, bargained, sold, aliened and conveyed unto ASA HARDISON, J. H. PARKER and J. L. LEGGETT, trustees to said meeting house and their successors in office forever, a lot of land in Dyer County, District No ____, and State of Tennessee whereon said Church House now stands containing one acre and bounded as follows viz. Begins at a small hickory and pointers in the margin of CHESTNUT BLUFF and EATON Rd, runs south 25 degrees east 12 2/3 poles to a hickory and pointers, thence south 42 degree west 12 2/3 poles to a stake and pointers thence north 42 degrees east 12 2/3 poles to the beginning. And I bind myself, my heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend this title to the aforesaid lot of land to them the aforesaid Trustees forever against all lawful claims whatever so far as I and my representatives are concerned and no further.
