Tribute to Rev. Frank H. Carey
Frank H. Carey was admitted on trial into the Holston Annual Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church in 1903 and became a full member in 1907.
He served acceptably the following appointments: Andersonville, Oliver Springs, Oakdale, McDonald, Chatata, Tellico Plains, Alton Park, Manker Memorial, Beaver Ridge, Rockwood, and Dunlap.
He died suddenly while in the midst of the activities of his last charge. His funeral was conducted by his District Superintendent, R. L. Stapleton, at the Church in Dunlap, with a large concourse of friends from far and near. Burial was at Cleveland, Tennessee.
Brother Carey was a good preacher, a good organizer and effective in his work with young people.
