SCOTT
Davidson County, around Nashville, is the place where Charles and Anne Miller Scott were married in 1816. Their son, Henry is a direct descendant, Grandfather of mine and I’m interested in finding out more about his family with Charles and Anne. They migrated to Kentucky but Henry may have been born in Tennessee. If you know anything about this family, please write me. Wilma Stackhouse

GOODNER, GAMBLE
I have all the information on the Goodner family from Germany in 1735 to the present day. I am looking for information on the family lineage of Jane Gamble, marride to James Murphy Goodner of Bradley county (b 1839, moved to Oklahoma and then Arizona after the Civil War) I do not know birth or death dates for Jane Gamble, only that her parents lived across the road from James Goodner’s Parents (Mr and Mrs Jacob Goodner). Jane’s Dad was James Gamble and we believe James Gamble’s father was one Charles Gamble, as listed in a family Bible. Please respond to this post in Email as I will not likely check this site again. Uncle Cal was a mean man, who more then likely has a record, which I can tell more about if you reply direct to me in private at werhere42 [at] aol [dot] com There was a killing on a city bus in Chattanooga, Tennessee , which he got away with because no one would testify against him. If I knew his correct surname, he would definitly be quite easy to find, as he was a very colorful person. Cal could have been born as early as 1860 or as late as 1900. Also a story about a sheriff who came to arrest him that ate breakfast with Cal before locking him up. I know someone out there knows more here, and I do have family interested in locating the children and grandchildren of Cal. Uncle Cal left home at an early age, disowning the famil

A. W. (Abraham) and H. M. (Harriet Margaret) POWELL were listed on the Rhea Co., 1880, census having migrated from North GA during previous decade. Living nearby were his parents Daniel and Mary POWELL with there younger son, Daniel Squire. Daniel Squire went back to GA, Daniel and Mary must have died, but Abe and Margaret were in or around Cleveland between 1890 and 1900, about which time they moved on to AL. In 1880, their only children were Mary and Vina, but they went on to have William Riley, James, Frances Ann, John David, Benjamin, Grover, and Mandy Lou. Mary was the only one to marry and remain in TN. She married Arthur HILL and raised her famliy in the Knoxville area. Frances Ann married a John CARDIN and had five sons by him. But he either died or they were divorced and she moved on to AL also taking her sons with her. Since this family lived in this area for such a short time and left no descendants there, I have had absolutely no luck in finding any record of them there. I would very much ap

CASSON, RIDDLE
I am searching for the ancestors of Lillard CASSON (died 1993?? in Dalton, GA). His father was James Dallas CASSON (died 1958) and his mother was Edna RIDDLE (died 1939??). James’ father was George CASSON (name could be wrong and I don’t have any information about dates of birth and death). I have no information on James’ mother or on Edna’s family. If anyone has any information on these family names it would be of great help. Thank You.
