HENRY, James I. – (d. 1882)

DIED — In this place, on Sabbath night last, James I. HENRY, at the residence of his father, Jacob HENRY. He had Consumption near twelve months, and finally the monster, death, came to his relief.  He was a consistent member of the A.M.E. Zion Sabbath School and was a useful and efficient member. He graduated at the Freedman’s Normal Institute and began a Collegiate course at Maryville College. He made a close application to study, and his books were his faithful companions.  he was in his 18th year.  The Sabbath School mourn his loss.  We extend our deepest sympathies to the stricken and bereave family.
