CARPENTER, Elisha (Mrs.) – (d. 1882)
Title: Death of Mrs. Elisha Carpenter
Died at her home in the 7th civil district, on the 22d inst., of pneumonia, after a very brief illness, Mrs. Elisha CARPENTER, wife of Mr. Elisha CARPENTER. She was a most excellent woman, a consistent member of the M.E. Church, and died in full possession of her faculties and with a bright hope of a blissful immortality beyond the grave. She was about 60 years of age, and was buried at Carpenter’s Campground on the 23d inst., amid a large concourse of sorrowing friends and kindred. The bereaved and sorely stricken husband and family have the sincere sympathy of the whole community.
