Obituary of Rosa Sharp, 2002:

Rosa Sharp, age 77, of Lake City, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002 at her residence in Lake City.

She was a member of Briceville Church of God.

She was preceded in death by: son, Stevie Lee Sharp; parents, Avery and Eliza Sharp; sisters, Edith Worley, Florence Lowery and Minnie Saylor; brother, Harvey Gene Sharp.

Survivors: Daughters, Carolyn Hatfield of Lake City, Betty Harness of Lake City, Terrie Lynn Roach and husband Floyd of Knoxville; son, Kenneth Ray Sharp of Knoxville; sister, Goldie Breen of Lake City; brothers, the Rev. Carl Sharp of Lake City, D.C. Sharp of Lake City; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

The family received friends 6-8 pm Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City.

Funeral services were 2 pm Friday, Feb. 15, 2002 in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. Interment followed the service at Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake City.

Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City in charge of all arrangements.
