Obituary of Verdie Mae Phillips, 1994:
PHILLIPS, MRS. VERDIE MAE – age 67, of Clinton, passed away Thursday, September 8, 1994 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was a member of Jarnigan Chapel Baptist Church. Funeral service 8 p.m. Saturday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. B. Ray Phillips and Rev. Donnie Disney officiating. Interment 2 p.m. Sunday at Jarnigan Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Cox Funeral Home, Lake City.
