Obituary of Clarence E. Childs:
Childs, Clarence E. – age 74, of 203 Crestview Drive, Briceville, passed away 2 p.m. Wednesday at his home. He was of the Catholic faith and a Veteran of WWII. Survivors: wife, Naomi Austin Childs; daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Phillis Ann) Foust, Knoxville, Mrs. Michael (Linda) Ureste, Port Avacca, Texas, Miss Jody Lynn Childs, Briceville; sons, John, Norris, James, Lake City, Paul, Marietta, Ga., Mark, Bristol, Va., Steven, Briceville; sisters, Mrs. Juanita Parks, Mrs. Marie Armstrong, both of Lake City; brothers, Herbert Childs, Detroit, Mich., James E. Childs, Burnside, Ky., George Childs, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; four grandchildren. Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday, Cox Chapel, Rev. Bill E. Lamb officiating. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at Cox Funeral Home, Lake City.
