Obituary – Pete Mitchell
Pete Mitchell is victim of heart attack
Fitchue (Pete) Mitchell, 55, of Clinton Rt. 4 died Sunday in Oak Ridge Hospital of an apparent heart attack and stroke. Relatives said he had had a heart condition for some time and had been quite ill for three weeks.
He had recently been employed with the Direct Oil Company in Oak Ridge. Previously he had worked for the A. I. T. bus company in Oak Ridge before that company went out of business.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at Black Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Delbert Payne and the Rev. Beford Bullock officiating.
Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rachel Hicks Mitchell; mother, Mrs. Lawyouna Mitchell of Clinton; son Tommy L. Mitchell of Clinton; brothers, Arthur and Herman of Clinton; sister, Mrs. Mario Thacker of Louisville, Ky.; and one grandson.
