Obituary of Mary Margaret Justice Adkins, 1994:
Mary Margaret Justice Adkins, 67, of Lake City died Monday at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mrs. Adkins was a member of Covenant Life Church of God, Lake City. The daughter of Melvin and Margaret Flannigan Justice, she was born April 9, 1927, in Mingo County, WV. Mrs Adkins was a homemaker who enjoyed knitting and reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Rufus Justice, Morris Walton Justice, Bill Justice and Luther Hiram Justice.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Clifford, “Cush” Adkins of Lake City; daughter and son-in-law, Grova Adkins Disney and Benny Joe Disney of Lake City; son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Sharon Adkins of Oak Ridge; grandson, Luke Adkins of Oak Ridge; sisters and brothers-in-law, Flossie and Mack Slone of Branchland, WV, and Nell and Joe Sipple of Delbarton, WV; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Beulah Justice of Delbarton, WV, Frank and Gladys Justice of Lorain, Ohio, and Rush and Anna Justice of Pulaski, Va.; sisters-in-law, Toni Canterbury and husband Paul of S. Williams, Ky., and Mandy Gerard of New Boston, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral service was Wednesday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony McAfee officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
