KIZER CEMETERY
(Timberlake Grove)

To reach the black Kizer Cemetery from Lexington take Highway 22 north and turn west on Longsought Road. The cemetery access drive is on the north side on Longsought Road about 0.1 mile west of Highway 22. In obituaries and funeral programs Kizer Cemetery is often called Timberlake Grove Cemetery after the nearby Timberlake Grove Baptist Church. There are more unmarked graves than marked graves. The cemetery is full.

David Donahue recorded this cemetery in February 2002 and October 4, 2003. Jonathan K. T. Smith recorded this cemetery in 1995. It appears in his Tombstone Inscriptions from Black Cemeteries in Henderson County, Tennessee. This is referred to as Smith in the notes below. The cemetery did not appear in the 1976 cemetery book.
