Isaac Pierce was born in Johnson county and was a farmer.  He married a daughter of John H. Stourt in Mountain City in 1878. They had seven children.

John H. Pierce was a son of the above couple. He married on the 14th of October, 1916, Ethel Snelson, a daughter of Ambrose Snelson, resident of North Carolina. They had at least two sons Lloyd and Franklin.
