I Joshua Garner have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to J. H. McConnell and his heirs forever for the consideration of seventeen Dollars and fifty cents.to me in hand paid my interest in the tracts of land one in the name of Joshua Garner being in the state of Tennessee and County of Hardin and District No. One containing by estimation sixty nine acres the sum more or less and bounded as follows to wit:
Beginning one hundred and twenty poles west of William Keeson(?) South east corner of a thousand acre Survey on a birch, thence north west said Keesons(?) East boundary line two hundred and twenty poles to a beech, thence East ninety two poles to a Hickory, thence South one hundred and twenty poles to a sweet gum, thence west ninety two poles to the Beginning and the other Covenant & by estimation Sixty Seven and 88/160 acres be the Sum more or less and bounded as follows to wit ~ Beginning at a hickory the North East corner of a Sixty nine Acre Survey in the name of Samuel H. Williams thence North Sixty Six poles to a stake gum pointer, thence West Eighteen poles to a Stake, North Sixty four poles to a Hickory & __ hickory pointer, West seventy four poles to a Sugar tree, thence ___ ___ poles South one hundred and thirty poles to a Stake, East ninety two poles to the Beginning. To have and to hold the same to the said J. H. McConnelll his heirs and assigns forever. I do Covenant unto the said J. H. McConnell that I am lawfully seized of said land by heir ship that I have a good right to Convey it and that the same is unencumbered. I do further covenant and bind myself my heirs and Representations to warrant and forever defend the title to the said land and every part thereof to the said J. H. I N.T. Robinson have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to William Garner and his heirs forever for the consideration of one hundred and fifty Dollars to me paid for a tract of land in the State of Tennessee and Hardin County and District number the Second Containing by estimation Seventy acres be the sum more or less and bounded as follows. Beginning on the North East corner of Entry No. 206 in the name of James Hardin on a Stake, thence West 70 poles to a Black Haw(?). thence North 40 poles to a Stake, thence East 150 poles to a Stake, thence South 100 poles to a hickory & poplar, thence West 80 poles to a Sugar tree, thence North 60 poles to the Beginning. To have and to hold the same to said William Garner his heirs and assigns forever. I covenant with the said William Garner that I am lawfully seized of said land having a good right to Convey and that the same is unencumbered. I do further Covenant and bind myself my heirs and represented to warrant and forever defend the title to the said land and every part there of to the said William Garner his heirs and assigns against the lawful Claims of all person whatever this 7th day of April 1853. Hardin County} Personally appeared before me W. H. Duckworth Clerk of the County Court of said County Joshua Garner and I. W. Sloan who after being duly sworn depose and say that they are acquainted with N. T. Robinson and saw him sign seal and deliver the within deed for the purpose therein contained. Witnesses my hand at office this 1st day of August 1853.

This Indenture made this 13 day of October 1853 between Henry G. Garner of the one part and Washington Wells of the other part both of the County of Hardin and state of Tennessee, witnesseth that the Said Henry G. Garner for and in consideration of the Sum of One hundred Dollars to him in hand paid by the said Washington Wells, the receipt where of is hereby acknowledge hath, given, granted, bargained and Sold, and by these presents doth give, grant, bargain and Sold, __ ___ Convey and Confirm unto the said Washington Wells his heirs and assigns a certain tract, piece or parcel of land, situated lying and being in the County aforesaid granted by the State of Tennessee to the said Henry G. Garner bearing date the 1st day of May 1849 Containing by Survey Sixty three 72/160 acres in Range 14 & section 4 and bounded as follows to wit ~ Beginning at a Black oak, Sassafras and Gray p__, on the Bank of Tennessee River the S. W. corner of Entry No. 725 in the name of Cyrus G. Alexander for 178-1/4 acres, run_, thence 114 poles to a post oak black oak on the west boundary of Entry No. 1368, thence South 108 poles to a dogwood and Ironwood po__, thence West 74 Poles to a hickory & hickory po_, on the Banks of the River, thence North 19 degrees West 115 poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the said tract piece or parcel of land with all and singular the improvements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to him the said Washington Wells his heirs and assigns, to his and their only proper use benefit and behalf forever _ And the said Henry G. Garner for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant promises agree to and with the said Washington Wells his heirs and assigns that the title to the above described tract or parcel of land __ __ they will warrant and forever defend against the __ claims and demand of all every person or persons whatsoever. Setting(?) up title to the same either in law or equity. In witness whereof the said Henry G. Garner hath hereto set his hand and seal, the day and year first above written.

I H.G. Garner for the Consideration of 100 hundred dollars the receipt part of part of which is hereby acknowledged have this day bargained and sold and do hereby bargain, sell, convey and deliver to Washington Wells a certain tract or parcel of land lying in Hardin County Tennessee on the waters of Tennessee River Range ~ Section ~ in Civil District No 2 Beginning on the South east corner of Occupant Entry No. ~ in the name of Elisha Bryant for 200 acres, thence East 50 poles, thence North 200 poles to the North east corner of an Entry in the name of G.M. Milligan of which this is a part, thence West to the Road leading from White Mill to Pallons(?) Ferry, thence a Southern direction with the __ west of an old road leading from, thence to Old Town to a point when a road leading from Whites ferry to George H. Polk’s crossing __ ___ , thence South to a Stake in the North boundary of the Bryan Occupant, thence East to a N. E. corner, thence South 126 poles to the Beginning. Containing by estimation one hundred and twenty acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold whereof the said land and appurtenances thereto belonging to the said Washington Wells his heirs and __ ___ forever. I agree to warrant and defend the title to said land to said Washington Wells his heirs and representatives forever against the claims of all and every person or persons whatever in law and equity. I am legally possessed of said land and have and undisruptive right to Convey the same and that it is unencumbered in any way. Witness my hand and seal this the 13th day of October 1853.
