Thinking some of the readers of the Bulletin would like to know more of our pleasant little town, I make bold to send you a few items:

Trade is certainly good and our four stores here are at times the scene of a deal of business activity.

The farmers have been very busy of late and more improvements in the surrounding country have been going on than ever.

Our residences in town are improved greatly by the thrift of their occupants, several houses having recently been taking on a new coat.

Esq. J. S. McANULTY was seen around the store yesterday for the first time in three weeks, having been confined to the house with a severe cold.

We boast of as fine a school as any in the county, but are in the great need of a new school building.

Mr. Dave McANULTY is at present in Nashville attending the Grand Lodge K. of H., as the delegate of the lodge here.

Mr. and Mrs. Will MAY are at home after a weeks visit to Memphis.

We are anxious to hear what is being done towards the County Fair. The “Valley” will certainly join hand and heart to the enterprise and “old reliable District No. 2” will certainly be found in the van. Wake up our County people and push the matter.
