OBITUARY

ORVILLE SCOTT STEWART was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 21, 1935 to the union of the late Arthur James and Charlotte Mae Stewart. He attended elementary and high school in Chicago, Illinois and Evansville, Indiana. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Evansville, Indiana in 1955. He attended Evansville College for two years, Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) for two years, and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee for three years. He served with the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1961. He moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1961.

He was united in Holy Matrimony to Juanita Holbrook in 1959. To this union two children were born, LaVonda Ilene and Orville Dwain. He was employed at A. O. Smith for twenty-six years.

He received Christ at the early age of twelve and united with Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church where he was a faithful member until 1972. Then he united with Christ Memorial Lutheran Church and served as an usher. He was actively involved in the ministry of his church. He was a member of the NAACP.

Orville was well liked, had a loving character, and sought to give effective service to his church and community.

He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory: a loving and devoted wife, Juanita; two children, LaVonda Ilene (Dennis) and Orville Dwain; four brothers, Kevin (Oddie) Stewart, Evansville, Indiana, Melvin (Mildred) Stewart, and Harry Stewart, Berkeley, California, and Eugene (Laura) Loving, Chicago, Illinois; two sisters, Janice Stewart Nessibou, Louisville, Kentucky, and Audre (Richard) White, Detroit, Michigan; and one granddaughter, Amber Nicole Whitley, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He will be deeply and dearly missed by his loving relatives and dear friends.
