G. H. HEEL, WORLD WAR VETERAN, DIES
George H. Heel, 35, died at his home near Donelson Tuesday at 8:30 O'clock following an illness of more than a year, during part of which time he was at the disabled veterans' hospital in Johnson City.
Mr. Heel was gassed overseas, where he made a splendid record as a soldier. For a time he was employed at Old Hickory until his heath failed him and he was sent to Johnson City.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Turner Heel, and a daughter, Frances. Two brothers, Tom and Robert Heel, and two sisters, Mrs. A. J. Rogers and Mrs. W. J. Johnson, also survive.
Funeral services were conducted from the residence this evening at 8:30 o'clock; with the Rev. J. F. Murphy in charge. The body was conveyed to Waverly, Tenn., his old home for burial.
Hugh Heel Was a native of this county and Luff-Bowen Co., local undertakers were called to Donelson to prepare the body for burial Tuesday morning. Their hearse followed Wednesday and the body was brought to the Anderson cemetery for burial. Rev. Murphy of Donelson conducted Prayer service at the grave.
