THURSTON. ...testator made his will in Jan. last. the most of his estate consisted of an undivided interest in a Mercantile concern in Civil district 1 with the said THURSTON ... informed that THURSTON intends to leave the country about the end of the year.... The defdt. is a young unmarried man from N.Y. He taught school in the neighborhood a short time and then went into the business with young Mr. TUGGLE the dec'd. who had some money from his father's estate.... 1850 Mar. 14 - Articles of Agreement made between A.I.D. 5362 - 1854 Nov. 6 - (Bill) Emily SAUP, formerly Emily BAKER, a citizen of Wilson Co., TN Against Richard SOUP, residence unknown. They married 3 May 1854 in Wilson Co., TN. He left about the 1st of Aug. He was a native of Germany and said he was returning to that country. 1854 Dec. 7 - (Div. Bill) Richard SOAP Against Elizabeth SOAP. She at first agreed to move and sent Complt. to KY where Complt. went on foot, a distance of 100 miles to where a brother of hers lived and there rented a comfortable little home for them. She wanted to stay with the free negroes ... one was Jackson MURRAY. He went to Kingstone where he had some friends and got work. He wrote for her to come, to get Frank BRIANT her brother-in-law to come with her.... 1855 July 13 - Summons for Saml. MEDLIN, Amanda MEDLIN, Melissa BRUCE and Mary THOMAS....

5364 - 1857 Mar. 21 - (I.B.) - William SUMMERHILL and John W.L. BETTIS Against M.A. PRICE of Wilson Co., TN, Robert HARRISON of MO. On 24 Dec. 1852 William SUMMERHILL hired some negroes viz: two Johns, Squire and Buck from the defdt. M.A. PRICE ... hired another negro Joe ... paid PRICE in Nashville ... SUMMERHILL a citizen of Rutherford Co. Orator knows of no such person as Robert HARRISON in this country. Joint answer of M.A. PRICE and Robert HARRISON. HARRISON is a nephew of PRICE....

SIMMONS says he is heir-at-law and distributee of Alexr. SIMMONS, dec'd. A bill has been filed by the defdts. for a settlement ... estate of his father largely indebted to him....

5366 - 1867 Sept. 24 - (Div. Bill) Elizabeth J. SEARCY VS Danl. SEARCY. They married in Wilson Co., TN in 1833 and lived together until 1865. Eleven children born to them, of whom five are still living. Two of the children are living with oratrix, to wit James W. about 18, and Thos. A. about 16 the only minors of those surviving. ...deed of 109a made to her during her life time with remainder to her children....

5367 - 1867 Nov. 29 - (Bill) Caesar SCRUGGS, a col'd. citizen of this county against Flemming G. Henry H. Wm. T. SCRUGGS minors and their reg. gdn. Wm. P. BANDY all this county. Gross SCRUGGS died many years ago testate, will probated this county 1835 ... widow Elizabeth, extrx. wound the estate up and died many years ago. ...the landed estate of the Testator was given to his two sons, Demascus H. and Christopher C. SCRUGGS with the following clause: When the youngest child attains age of 21, Complt. Caesar and Esther were to be liberated from servitude and it is my will that my two sons in allowment of the faithful services of Caesar and Esther lay of for them such portion of their land as may be sufficient for Caesar and Esther to make a support upon. Esther is dead ... servants to the said Grass SCRUGGS ... that C.C. SCRUGGS died many year ago leaving the four SCRUGGS defdts. as his only children and heirs at law. and that the land now belongs to them ... the youngest child has long since attained its 21st year.... Mrs. Elizabeth SCRUGGS during her life gave him a support and since her death the defdt. BANDY gave to him $35. per annum in lieu of the allowance of land until about '61.... Complt. is now old and being over 80 years old.... He spent his youth and manhood in labor for his old master and his family....
1867 Oct. - Obion Co. Summons for Henry H. SCRUGGS, a minor living with John COX.
1868 July 6 - Dep. of Richard BROWN says he knows that W.P. BANDY took care of the negro Caesor for several years before the war. The negro stayed at my house from the year 1860 up to the 1st of 1865.... BANDY made an arrangement with me to keep Caesar during his live or as long as he would stay with me.... In 1865 Caesar left without cause and of his own accord....

5368 - 1860 Sept. 18 - (O.B.) E.S. SMITH admr. of T.G. WILSON, dec'd. against John T. and Mary F., Sanford, and Martha Ann WILSON minors under the age of 14 years and children of T.G. 5369 - 1859 Apr. 7 - (Bill) Jordon STOKES and TARVER & GOLLADAY and Adam WALL all of Wilson Co., TN Against Armstead WALL now of Wilson Co., TN, Cage VIVRET and his wife Elizabeth and James RICE of Wilson Co., TN, Bird WALL, Joseph WALL, Ben WALL, Eli THROWER and his wife Rebecca, Hamilton CARR and his wife Sally and William WALL and Minerva WALL, all of the state of IL. Orators complain that in July 1854 they as Counsel filed a bill in Chancery at Lebanon against Armstead WALL, Burrell WALL and William WALL both the former citizens of Wilson Co. at that date for said Cage VIVRET and his wife Elizabeth, Bird WALL, Joseph WALL, Ben WALL, Eli THROWER and his wife Rebecca and Hamilton CARR and his wife Sally, Evans WALL and Adam WALL all the complts. in said bill being non residents except VIVRET and his wife and Evans and Adam WALL who lived in this county. The bill was filed for this purpose. Fredrick and William WALL brothers of the defdts. and complts. Adam WALL were owners as tenants in common of a tract of land in this county on the waters of Barton's Creek on which the defdt. RICE now lives containing 110a. Fredrick died many years ago without will and without having been married leaving the WALL children as set out above his only heirs at law. After the death of Fredrick, the said William sold the whole tract of land to Armstead WALL. The bill was filed for the purpose of having said deed set aside and voided as to the undivided half of said land, belonging to Fredrick WALL and making Armstead account for rents and waste. Case came up in April 1856 ... deed to be voided ... belongs to his brothers and sisters.... Burrell and Bird WALL do not live in this state and have no property in it....

5373 - 1866 Jan. 17 - (Bill) Edy SANDERSON, John SANDERSON, Emaline SANDERSON, Eliza SANDERSON, Adeline SANDERSON and her child Mary an infant by her mother and next friend against Alexander BRITT exor. of Wade SANDERSON, dec'd. and his securities L.M.M. COOK, Robt. R. TAYLOR and B.J. TARVER, admr. of Jno. K. HOWARD, dec'd. and his securities in office Jorden STOKES and Saml. T. MOTLEY and John W. THOMPSON all residents of Wilson Co., TN except Guild CARTER who resides in Davidson Co. Your complts. represent that their old master Wade SANDERSON made and executed his will dated 7 Dec. 1849 - he departed this life in the fall of 1852 ... will probated Nov. 1852 ... Alex. BRITT, exor.... By the will he directed all his slaves to be set free and gave them ... tract of land in Wilson Co., TN of 294a. They have been in ignorace of their rights ... compelled to work for him without compensation.... There was ten of his servants entitled to the bequest the following of whom have since departed this life: Messiy, complts. grandmother, Harrit their mother and George their brother and Austin their father and Mitchell their half brother leaving only 5 surviving of the original stock. Mary is an infant child of Adeline. Since your compts. have been emancipated and set free by the events of the war, although they was freed by the will of their old master.... Mrs. NORRIS a sister of the dec'd. and the children of his dec'd. brother (the SANDERSONS) ... July Term 1853 decree entitled to their emancipation ... on 4 Jan 1855 the court decreed that the act of assembly permitting emancipated slaves to remain in this state was repealed and that they was compelled to remove beyond the limits of the U.S.... At the 1859 term of court emancipated: Edy, Austin, John, Emaline, Eliza, Mitchell, Adeline, and her child Mary - they are set free on condition that they remove to Africa immediately. Edy and Austin from old age and infirmity are unable to go to Liberia and Mitchell and Mary are too young to go without Austin and that Adeline, Emaline and Eliza are desirous of becoming slaves and may take such steps as they may desire to place the chains of slavery upon them and therefore prevent their removal. John should be delivered over to the Governor for his transportation.... - John K. HOWARD was the C&M of this court for several years prior to the appointment of J.E. WHITE ... the grandmother was called Mima....
1866 May 15 - Recorded date of the will of Michall THOMPSON, dec'd.
Nashville Oct. 23, 1865. "I Michall THOMPSON of Nashville and County of Davidson ... that John W. THOMPSON my beloved father, shall be heir to all my property ... in Wilson Co., TN, willed to me by the late Wade SANDERSON of the same.... Wits.: John LAWRENCE; S.B. COONS; Sabrey (his X mark) WINSTON. Proved Feb. 1866.
1867 Jan. 26 - Dep. of Mary MITCHEL says Austin is 21 years old going on 22, Adaline is 24, Eliza about 20, Edy is the mother of Eliza and is about 50 years old. John is the oldest child of Harriett who is now dead. Adaline is the next child then Emaline and then George who is now dead. Mima the grandmother has died since the death of Wade SANDERSON. Austin has been dead about 2 years. Mary is the dau. of Adaline. - Dep. of Harriet BURTON, age 32.... Dep. of Orange BLOODWORTH....
1867 July 13 - Dep. of Peter VAUGHAN, aged about 30 ... the fall of Ft. Donelson the last of the year '62.... - Dep. of Rebecca BRIT, aged about 41.... - Wade SANDERSON died in Wilson Co., TN in Oct. 1852.

5374 - 1849 Nov. 20 - (I.A.B.) - LeRoy B. SETTLE of Wilson Co., TN against the Pres. and directors of the Union Bank of TN, William R.D. PHIPPS, a citizen of MS, William SUMMERHILL of Rutherford Co. and Robert L. CARUTHERS, Nathan CARTWELL, William L. MARTIN, James FOSTER, James M. ARMSTRONG and Thomas J. THOMPSON citizens of Wilson Co., TN. At the May term 1847 of the circuit court of Wilson Co. he obtained a judgment against Wm. R.D. PHIPPS ... three negroes of PHIPPS, Judy & her child Jo and Amanda.... PHIPPS is a resident of MS and has no property in this state....

5375 - 1865 Oct. 11 - (I.B.) - F.D. SMITH and George K. SMITH, the latter suing by his next friend F.D. SMITH against J.W. PRICE all of Wilson Co., TN. Orator says that Wm. J. SMITH purchased a lot of mules from defdt. PRICE about 185_.... G.K. SMITH had previously had a paralytic stroke.... 1866 - John KELLY is dead testate, widow M.L. KELLY.... 1867 - Deps. of P.W. HARRIS, W.W. QUARLES, W.C. MARTIN, A.S. IVY, John T. SIMPSON, and J.B. THOMAS.

5376 - 1850 Jan. 9 - (A.B.) - William C. TONSON, admr. of the estate of Milliner WALKER, dec'd. of Wilson Co., TN against Joseph B. TARPLEY a citizen of MS. Milliner WALKER died in Wilson Co. intestate on 28 Sept. last....
1849 Feb. 22 - Letter from M.W. TARPLEY, Granada, MS to Dr. J.B. TARPLEY Rockpoint, TN. Dear Brother "I received yours Sat. last the first for along time. I have sent to the office twice a week for two months but had concluded to give it out and in sending Carolines letter to the office directed to your lady The boy fetched back yours togeather with Sterling both dated on the 25 after looking over them several times.... I suppose you think the land is worth more ... the high water took all the fence away and some of the barns ... it will be an eye sore to some of our kin and as for the influence that I have with your mother I think it not worth much for you now that there is others that have more than you and myself both put together for if I had any influance the negros would not have been hired out at this time and your mother would have been living with me and the property divided only leaving a plenty. 1849 May 12 - Letter to Mr. Milner WALKER Grenada, MS. Dear Mil "I received your kind letter a few minutes since and am highly pleased with your answer to my inquirie and if there had been a lingering of doubt in relation to your being a Gentleman a Friend and an honest man your reply to my inquirie would have satisfied perfectly the most unbelieving Skeptic... have a deed made at Coffeeville 16 miles from here, before the probate Judge of our county ... there is but one other man on earth that I would trust so far that is my Brother John for his soul is as honest as a mid-days sun beam.... My wife and children constitute my household my wife is a sweet confiding woman and affectionate She loves all that I love and consequently she thinks you and Caroline are the best people on earth. She told me to say to you that she wants to see you the worst in the world. And she says she would walk 20 miles to see my dear old mother so that she could do what I have done a thousand times hug her and kiss her over and over again. Since you have got there with mother I feel contented about her comfort for I know she will be attended to My children are healthy sensible and handsome My love to Caroline and sweet little Jo and the very best love that man can feel give my mother and tell her that I am anxious to see her and always feel the deepest solicitude for her happiness and welfare but she knows all and Now My dear friend and Brother permit me to subscribe myself yours truly until death. /S/ Joseph Bell TARPLEY - My love to Brother John and Family and also Sister BEASLEY & Family. Harrison is well and going to school and I want him to continue all the year he is a very fine boy and I reccon tht he likes me as well as any body in this world except his grand mam...."
1849 July 3 - Deed from J.B. TARPLEY to Milnor WALKER. Whereas Sterling TARPLEY in his last will made the following proviso: "At the death of my wife I will to my son Joseph B. TARPLEY 150a inluding the plantation on which I live bounded by the John NEW tract, JACKSON tract, BONNER tract... also 20a on Cumberland river... I Joseph B. TARPLEY have a fee simple interest in remainder to take effect and be united with the primises after the death of Lucretia TARPLEY who has a life estate in the tract of land above described which lies in the 6th Civil district of Wilson Co., TN...."

5377 - 1866 May 5 - (O.B.) Benjamin J. TARVER of Wilson Co., TN VS John F. MILLS of Shelby Co., TN, Patrick H. ANDERSON, Patsy M. ANDERSON, Mary O. ANDERSON, of Wilson Co., TN, Saml. F. ANDERSON and Jessee G. ANDERSON of Ark. On 4 Feb. 1859, John F. MILLS, then a resident citizen, together with his wife, of Phillips Co., Ark., undertook to sell to Patrick H. ANDERSON and Jessee H. ANDERSON, since dec'd., 65 negro slaves, of whom 34 were males and 31 females, together with all the grain produce, household and kitchen furniture, stock, his premises in Phillips Co., for the sum of $65,000., $10,000 draft on New Orleans ... on same day MILLS sold to the same parties 1306a of land in Phillips Co. for $40,000. MILLS has recently filed his bill in "Phillips Co. Circuit Court in Chancery" of Ark., to enforce payment of notes.... This bill is filed against Patrick H. ANDERSON and Rufus K. ANDERSON, admrs. in Ark. of Jesse H. ANDERSON, and against Patsy M., Mary O., Saml. M., and Jessee H. ANDERSON the children and heirs of Jesse H. ...on 7 Aug. 1865, Jesse H. ANDERSON conveyed to your orator property in Wilson Co., TN and Davidson Co., TN, 1306a in Phillips Co., Ark.... Jesse H. ANDERSON died in Wilson Co., TN, where he then resided, intestate. ...his sole heirs, the defdts., his children all infants under 21. ...50 out of 65 negroes until the emancipation of slaves, were the property of (blank), the wife of John F. MILLS. The wife of MILLS was the dau. of Thomas BRANDON, a citizen of MS, who died near Aberdeen in that state, and rec'd. negroes from her father in his life time. By the laws of MS, where MILLS and wife lived, it is expressly provided that "Every Species and description of property whether consisting of real or personal estate, and all money, rights, and credits, which may be owned by or belong to any single woman, shall continue to be the separate property of such woman as fully after her marriage as it was before and all such property, in rights, of whatever name in kind, which shall accrue to any named woman by will, descent, distribution, deed of conveyance, recovery or otherwise, shall be owned, used, and enjoyed by such married woman, as her own separate property, and such property whether owned by her before marriage, or which may have accrued to her afterwards shall not be subject, in liable to be taken in satisfaction of the debts of the husband, nor shall such property, in any part thereof, be sold, conveyed, mortgaged, transferred, or in any manner encumbered by the husband, unless the wife shall join in the conveyance thereof, and acknowledge such conveyance in the manner directed by law for the acknowledgement of the conveyance of real estate by married women."

1855 Jan. 4 - (Defts. Ans.) ...Washington TURNER died Sept. 1853.... It is not admitted that the complt. was ever lawfully married to the testator.... Testator was once a slave, during which time, he was the husband of a negro woman belonging to Ephrym HEARN, by whom he had 5 children alluded to in his will; and after he was emancipated, had a negro woman for his wife belonging to Jno. CAPMAN, but is not known whether the two negro woman are dead or alive when he took up with complt., but supposes the last was alive at that time. ...she is only entitled to 1/3 of the estate....
1855 July 21 - David BUTCHER, agent for complt. Dep. of John B. SCOBY about 46 says he never knew Phoebe BUTCHER until the year 1833 or 34. "I was at Edward SWEATS in this county when Phebe BUTCHER and Washington TURNER came there to get married. I saw them married by Edward SWEAT...."
1855 July 30 - Dep. of Mary B. PARTIN, aged about 33, says, "Pheba BUTCHER and Washington TURNER came to my step Father's Edward SWEATS when I was quite young to get married and I do not recollect how long it has been And Edward SWEAT married them who was a regular minister of the gospel."
1855 Aug. 15 - Dep. of Mrs. Nancy N. SWEAT, widow of Rev. Edward SWEAT, says Washington presented a paper to her husband which she took to be a license.... Before he married them he asked Phoebe if she was "mixed blood". Mr. SWEATT said he was very much quizzed about marrying them until he found out Phoebe was "mixed" - He said he was afraid Phoebe was white, and that it would be illegal to marry a white woman to a colored man. Witness further states that many years after when her husband was about moving to Texas, he was looking among his old papers and throwing out such as he did not want to carry with him. Witness heard him say that there were several licenses among them, and witness thinks she remembers to have heard him name the license of Phoebe and Washington....

The Steam Mill was some 5 or 6 miles off. The water mill stopped in the summer. - Dep. of J.W. BELL - Mr. MARKS, [Jr.] is my uncle. Mr. D.R. TRACY and THOMASON both married sisters of Mr. MARKS. I was one year in the army.... My father, Allen BELL. MARKS said that Deemy THOMASON and Bob BARBY had gone to KY. - Dep. of T.J. BELL: "Mr. MARKS [Jr.] is my uncle.... James THOMASON, son of Jake. I am a nephew of defdt. THOMASON. He married my mother's sister...." - Dep. of Joseph S. BARBEE says he lives about 2 miles from James MARKS. I was the owner of a mill at Commerce for 8 or 9 years up to last Spring. - Dep. of James M. LEE was raised within 300 yards of THOMASON. "I was 4 years in the army, 24 TN Reg't. I belonged to the Infantry some 15 months then went to the Cavalry. I was in prison 18 months. I belonged to Baxter SMITH'S Reg't. I was 16 years old when I went into the war, and I went in the 1st year. In 1856 I was 11 years old."

TOMKINS, assignee for the Southern Market.... 1860 July 2 - (Ans. of Defdt.) He bought a negro man named Washington, aged 26 ... he sold 8 head of mules from the drove to one Josiah WALL in Barbour Co., AL.... The defdt. left his home on (blank) day of (blank) 1859 with the drove of mules for the Southern Market and went the Lebanon & Sparta Pike to Alexandria and thence to the Sequatchie Valley, thence to the KY and Georgia Stock Road; left said main road at about 20 or 40 miles from Marietta, GA; thence down Flint river, thence to Tompkinsville, GA and thence to Columbus, GA, thence across the AL river to Eufaula; thence to Montgomery, thence back and forth selling the stock in Barbour Pike and contiguous counties.... He may be unable to find a person for each name given because he entered the name as he heard it and the spelling may be incorrect. In the midst of his sales, he was taken sick and was subjected to considerable expense in the way of Doctors bills. And his father hearing of his sickness hired and sent a man down to take care of him and his stock.... Defdt. also hired one RAMSEY ... William W. SEAY, Jr.... - Dep. of James W. I do not know what amount of property he received from this marriage if any. He was keeping a little store in or near Shrevesport, and doing business in his wifes name. John H. is about 44 or 45. He had only one child the last time I saw him. They lived in Nashville in a rented house. Orator shows that Sarah HEARN was indebted to him for her board on 1 Oct. 1868 for $550.; that about that date she married James HAYNIE lived about ten months after her marriage and died without issue living at her death; that soon after her death a fund that belonged to her became collectable and in order to collect the same, her husband qualified as her admr. in Smith Co., Aug. 1859. ...collected a portion of the fund and took the note of defdt. He lived in Smith Co. at the time of his wife's death, brother Frank was with his wife when his wife died, the children were taken away that is the girls. One of then come to our house the other I understood to A. WILLIAMS after the death of his wife, he returned to Smith Co. - Dep. of Mrs. Evelina MCDANIEL, about 30, says that Sarah WILLIAMS stayed with me at my fathers apart of the year 1844.

Deft. frequently requested Sarah to go to his house in 1844. And in that year gave Sarah a fine dress for singing a whig song at Oak Grove...
1850 Nov. - Dep. of Robt. HOLLCUM says it would be worth $1. per week to fatten a mule for market when corn is worth $1. a barrel. It would be worth $1.25 a week to fatten a horse for market. It would be worth $.50 per month to keep cattle. A good milk cow is worth at least $.50 a month to a family. It is worth $5. a year to furnish firewood for one fire place.

1850 Nov. 28 - Sumner Co. - Dep. of Mary BRIGENEDENE, about 40 says that in 1842 a lad saying his name was WILLIAMS came to the house of Mr. James P. MILLER my former husband and got something over 200 lbs. of bacon. Mr. MILLER told me to charge the bacon to Mr. Alex. WILLIAMS, that it was for his brother who had moved from somewhere (I do not recollect the place) to Cairo.... Mr. MILLER told me a few days before he took sick with his last illness....

1850 Dec. 6 - Deps. of Thomas DARNALL, James BYRUS, and Lawson PATTERSON. Frank WILLIAMS in 1842 lived in Cairo and had living with him three sons, Stephen, James, and John. 1850 Dec. 13 - Dep. of Sarah PHILIPS says she lived about 300 yards from F. WILLIAMS in 1842.

The other tract bounded by the heirs of Jno. W. PAYTON of a tract of land bought by S. TARVER and conveyed by G.W. BAXTER 9 Feb. 1839, Fred WHEELASS ... 6a more or less.
1857 Feb. 28 - Carrolton, Carroll Co. MS. Deps. of E.A. WHITE, Sr., Layfayette WHITE, Henry TUMBLING, A.J. WINTER and Silas TARVER, Esqr. TARVER says he surveyed the 6a. It is the same land sold by James M. BAXTER to Benjamin BRIGGS and by BRIGGS to Benjamin F. WHEELESS. Benj. F. WHEELESS was a brother of the complt. in this case, who is now dead. F.W. WHEELESS was here in the Spring of 1855, and before leaving stated to me that he would leave some negroes with GAMBRIL, the Defdt.... The negro woman being pregnant and in no condition to be moved and there were also some children and an old negro man who was not in condition for being moved. The negroes were sent off by GAMBRIL to MS about the last of May or first of June following....

5399 - 1852 Mar. 8 - (Bill) William L. MARTIN of Wilson Co., TN and Wilson Y. MARTIN of Smith Co., TN, exors. of William MARTIN, dec'd. against Susan MARTIN, Jacob T. MARTIN, Sarah Ann MARTIN, Mary Allen MARTIN, and Eliza Douglass MARTIN of Wilson Co., TN. Orators say their father William died in Smith Co. in 1846 testate ... 6th item of will says to all the children of his dec'd. son Brice F. MARTIN, his negro man Fleming a negro woman Matilda and children Elick, John and Mary Ann with their increase, also one equal childs part of the remaining portion of his estate after the satisfaction of the specific bequests mentioned therein. Susan the mother of the children ... a negro boy Bob and a girl Eliza were set apart as the portion due the children of Brice. Susan and her children were living in Lebanon in 1849 when the cholera prevailed in that place with such fearful fatality. They left the town with a view to escape the ravanges of the desease and when they arrived at Rome in Smith Co. the negro woman Matilda took the cholera and died. Susan and two of her children were attacked with the same disease. They had stopped at the house of Mr. JONES to stay during the night and the next morning were unable to go further. It was with difficulty that JONES could be prevailed upon to permit them to remain at his house nor would he have done so but for the fact that your orators assured him that he should be compensated.. They remained at Rome several weeks and incurred a heavy expense ... the boy Bob has been sold ... Matilda had 2 or 3 children....

5400 - 1869 Mar. 1 (Bill) James P. WRIGHT admr. of Benjamin GRAVES, dec'd. against John E. GRAVES. Benj. GRAVES died about July 1867. Orator is informed that a short time before the death of his intestate that he bought of his brother John E. GRAVES the undivided interest which John E. had in a tract of land belonging to the estate of their father Benjamin GRAVES, Sr., known as Old GRAVES tract in Wilson Co., TN. ...no deed between the parties....
