PERES<\/strong>; entered the brokerage business in early life; member Masons, Scottish Rite, Shrine, Elks, Y. M. H. A., Rex Club, and I. O. B. B.; Democrat; first president of Y. M. H. A., and one of the founders of the Jewish Spectator; formerly Venerable Master Mizpah Lodge of Perfection Scottish Rite Masons; member of firm of Jacob J.
