M., Military Order Loyal Legion; Society Army of the Cumberland and Potomac; Commissioner and Secretary Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park; Private Company K, First Wisconsin Infantry; Sergeant First Sergeant and Second Lieutenant Third Wisconsin Battery; Captain and Assistant Quartermaster, United States Volunteers; Brevet Major United States Volunteers; served five years in Union Army during Civil War; participated in the battles of Perryville, Ky., Stone River, Chickamauga and Chattanooga, and was in various minor engagements; resident of Chattanooga since 1867; proprietor of Insurance Agency of <strong>W.
