Battalion, transferred just before close of war to 7<sup>th<\/sup> Tenn. Cavalry; attended school at West Tenn. College, Jackson, Tenn., one year; married twice, first, <strong>Hattie LOWRY<\/strong>, daughter of <strong>Col. Robert LOWRY <\/strong>and sister of <strong>ex-Gov.
