M., 1862; LL.D. 1905; admitted to bar April 12, 1861; married <strong>Catherine Vose BAXTER <\/strong>in 1865; mustered into Union Army as First Sergeant Company A. 12<sup>th<\/sup> Infantry, October 17, 1861; participated in siege of Ft. Henry, battles of Ft.
