Birmingham, Ala., 1901-1903, coal brokerage business, Birmingham, Ala., 1903-1906, Memphis, Tenn., 1906-1911; member I. O. O. F. and T. P. A.; Democrat; former Notary Public in Jefferson and Dallas Cos. Alabama; was Captain and Adjutant of Cadets Howard College; member of Baptist church and trustee Baptist Memorial Hospital; appointed two years ago as special delegate Business Men\u2019s Club, Memphis, to National Council, Commerce and Labor, Washington, D. C., attended same; devotes most of time to business interests of J. A.
