College, A. B. 1878; later received degree A. M. and D. D.; theological course in Lane Seminary, Cincinnati, O.; married Hattie M. SILSBY<\/b>, June 8, 1887; member of Presbyterian Historical Society; missionary in Mexico (under Presbyterian board of foreign missions), and instructor in Theological Seminary, Mexico City, 1882-1884; on account of ill health had to resign; professor of English language and literature and Spanish, Maryville (Tenn.)
