{"id":7182,"date":"2013-06-24T07:00:28","date_gmt":"2013-06-24T12:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/whos-who\/?p=7182"},"modified":"2023-06-15T21:36:58","modified_gmt":"2023-06-16T02:36:58","slug":"henderson-b-r","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tngenweb.org\/whos-who\/henderson-b-r\/","title":{"rendered":"HENDERSON, B.R."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>City: Memphis<\/p>\n<p><strong>HENDERSON, B.R.<\/strong>, business man; born Huntingdon, Tenn., July, 1842; educated in the common schools of Memphis, Tenn.; began his career as a newsboy, and was later taken into the employ of Lehman &amp; Co. as errand boy and general helper, he remained with this firm two years, and then accepted a position as collector for the Morning Bulletin; in 1860 he went into the postoffice as mailing clerk, and May 15, 1861, he entered the Confederate army as a private in Company &#8220;H,&#8221; Fourth Tenn.
