T. O. fraternity; member of city council of Lebanon, Tenn., 1894-1895-1900-1901-1902 and 1903; mayor of Lebanon, Tenn., 1907-1908; was captain of Howard Reserves Military Co. of Lebanon, Tenn., now disbanded; served as Col. of First Regiment Tenn. U. R. K.
