C. and Martha (Nesbitt) TURNER<\/b>; father engaged in farming, milling and stock raising; paternal grandparents, <b>James and Tabitha (Billingsly) TURNER<\/b>, maternal grandparents <b>Robert and Sarah (Jordan) NESBIT<\/b>; received education at Milan and Knoxville, Tenn.; married <b>Meda E. CAYCE<\/b> daughter of Elder <b>S. F. CAYCE<\/b>, a leading minister of the Primitive Baptist church, May 27, 1891, who died May 9, 1911; member K. of P., having held several offices in that lodge; Democrat; Alderman for six years, after which time refused to make the race, but was unanimously re-elected by the city council on the resignation of a member on March 9, 1911, which office he now holds; second Lieutenant of State Guards, Milan, Tenn.; member of Baptist Church; early in life worked in mill; at the tender age of fourteen engaged in the printing business, and is now a member of the firm of the \u201cMail,\u201d a secular paper, \u201cYouth\u2019s Guardian Friend,\u201d a paper for children and \u201cPrimitive Baptist,\u201d a religious paper; director in People\u2019s Bank and Martin Overall and Glove Factory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>City:\u00a0 Martin TURNER, Thos.
