Vol. Cavalry, 1863-1865; he was in all of the battles participated in by his regiment, including the battle of Greeneville, Tenn., where <b>Raider John MORGAN<\/b> lost his life, and Morristown, Tenn.; married twice, first <b>Elizabeth CHAPMAN, <\/b>Nov. 12, 1867; second <b>Alice DYER<\/b>, July 11,1898; Master Mason, Valley Star Lodge, No. 577, \u00a0F. &amp; A. M.; commander of the Daniel Meador Post, No. 19, G. A. R.; justice of the peace from 1888 to 1900; postmaster at Boy, 1880,1885, and Primroy, 1892-1900, establishing both offices; was also interested in mercantile business ten years; census enumerator in his district in 1890; pension attorney, and has practiced before the courts of Campbell county, Tenn., J.
