Infantry, and went through campaign to fall of Atlanta, Ga.; returned to Nashville and was in battle there; mustered out of service at Nashville, Tenn., March 28, 1865; served on detached duty as quartermaster-sergeant, brigadier-commissary, aide-de-camp of <b>General Joseph COOPER<\/b>; married <b>Martha J. KILBOURNE<\/b>, Dec. 5, 1867; former member of Masons; was fourth-class postmaster at Well Spring, Tenn.
