ROBBINS, Lansden B<\/strong>., merchant; born West Fork, Overton Co., Tenn., Jan. 12, 1863; Scotch-Irish descent; son of James and Lean (Smith) ROBBINS<\/strong>; father\u2019s occupation farmer; paternal grandfather John ROBBINS<\/strong>; paternal grandmother Martha (Coleman) ROBBINS<\/strong>, maternal grandfather John SMITH<\/strong>, maternal grandmother Hannah (McDonald) SMITH<\/strong>; educated public schools of Pickett Co. and Oak Hill and Alpine Academy, Overton Co.; when very young entered employ of J. H. Hatcher & Son at Eagle Creek as a clerk and remained with that firm for 10 years; married Viola GROCE<\/strong> Nov. 26, 1899; member of F. and A.
