<\/strong>RISTINE, Charles Elliott, <\/strong>physician; born Abingdon, Va., Dec. 6, 1845; French and English descent; son of John C.<\/strong> and Susan (Elliott) RISTINE<\/strong>; father\u2019s occupation, carriagemaker, merchant; educated University of Tenn. and University of Pa., graduating from the latter with degree of M. D. in 1870; married twice, first Alice PEACH<\/strong>, second Ella McKINNEY<\/strong>, 1880; member of Knox County Medical Society, East Tennessee Medical Society, State Medical Society, former President Knox Co. Medical Society; served as private in Confederate army; began his business career as a prescription druggist; former professor of Physiology University of Nashville, and professor gynecology in Tenn.
