(Howlett) PERRY<\/strong>; father\u2019s occupation, farmer; paternal grandparents <strong>Albert and Mollie (Buckner) PERRY<\/strong>, maternal grandparents <strong>William and Sarah (Ramsey) HOWLETT<\/strong>; educated in common schools in Madison Co., Tenn., and graduated at Evansville, Ind., in 1871 with degree of Master of Accounts; began his business career as an accountant; represented Madison Co., Tenn., in the 50<sup>th<\/sup> General Assembly, appointed by <strong>Gov. R. L. TAYLOR<\/strong> as delegate to the 1<sup>st<\/sup> National Pure Food Convention in 1898, and again by <strong>Gov. MCMILLIN<\/strong> as Assistant Commissioner of Labor and Superintendent of Mines; Democrat; married <strong>Carrie Montague JENNINGS<\/strong> April 24, 1897; member W. O.
