TAYLOR<\/strong> was first nominated for governor; his father moved to Dyer Co. in 1849 and blazed the first road west of Dyersburg and established his home three miles west of Dyersburg; the subject of this sketch has been engaged in mercantile business but now confines his attention to agriculture and banking; member M.
