(Jones) JONES<\/strong>; father\u2019s occupation, farmer; educated at Huntington (Tenn.) Academy; began his career as a farmer; married <strong>Ella HILL<\/strong>, Oct. 16, 1881; Democrat; Attorney-General of 12<sup>th<\/sup> Judicial Circuit of Tenn., 1884-5-6; member of legislature 1889; sat on Court of Chancery Appeals at Knoxville for short while by appointment of Governor; has been Judge of the 14<sup>th<\/sup> Judicial Circuit of Tenn. since Dec. 26, 1906; was District Elector on Bryan ticket in 1896; Elector for State at large on Parker ticket in 1904; elected President of Electoral College, that met in Jan. 1905; in 1905 was a member of Joint Commission that formulated the report of merger between the Cumberland Presbyterian and the U. S. A.
