MERRITT, Henry Clay<\/strong>, <\/strong>attorney at law, banker; born near Guthrie, Todd Co., Ky., April 12, 1839; English descent; son of Daniel R. <\/strong>and Penelope (Hannum) MERRITT<\/strong>; father\u2019s occupation physician and farmer; paternal grandfather Samuel MERRITT<\/strong>, paternal grandmother Sarah (Ross) MERRITT<\/strong>, maternal grandfather Richard M.
