A., May 22, 1899; was a farmer boy and school teacher in early life; admitted to bar at Spencer, Tenn., July 1902 and has been engaged in practice of his profession since; married <strong>Vollie Kathleen SPARKMAN<\/strong>, July 20, 1904; member W. O. W., M. W. A., and a Master Mason; former superintendent of public instruction for Van Buren C., Tenn., two terms; elected in August election 1906 as clerk of the County Court of Van Buren Co., Tenn., to serve four years, elected second term Aug. 1910; delegate from Third Congressional district of Tenn.
