W.; author \u201cHeroes in Gray\u201d and \u201cSelf-Activity;\u201d was Superintendent City Schools of Jonesboro, Tenn., 1892 to 1900; taught at Sweetwater 1900-1901, Carthage, Tenn., 1901-1903, Trenton, Tenn., 1903-1907, and began teaching at Paris 1907; has for a number of years been conductor of the Summer State Institutes for public school teachers; 1911 elected to head of teachers training department in State Normal School at Johnson City, Tenn.<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><i>Source: Who\u2019s Who in Tennessee: A Biographical Reference Book of Notable Tennesseans of To-Day<\/i>.
