Court (2 terms), 1890-1898; Judge of Co. Court from 1902 to 1910 (1 term), member of Co. G, 7<sup>th<\/sup> Tenn. Cavalry (C. S. A), Orderly Sergeant; enlisted in C. S. A. Nov, 1861, and saw active service at battle of Corinth, Miss., and fifteen other engagements; captured in latter part of 1862 near Grenada, Miss., and paroled for remainder of war; during term of office as Co.
