S. District Attorney for Middle Tennessee; born Bedford County, Tenn., September 8, 1863; son of <b>Lewis and Mary Catherine (Davidson) TILLMAN<\/b>; educated in public and private schools of Shelbyville, and graduated Winchester Normal, Winchester, Tenn., graduated in law from Columbian University (now George Washington University), Washington, D. C. in 1886; married <b>Sarah Clayton FORD<\/b>, November28, 1894; admitted to bar 1886, Shelbyville; was partner of <b>G. N. TILLMAN<\/b>, Nashville, Tenn., in 1887 to 1898, when he was appointed U. S. Attorney by McKinley; served four years and was reappointed in 1902 by Roosevelt; reappointed in 1906 under Roosevelt\u2019s administration and again in 1910 by President Taft; is at present head of firm of Tillman &amp; McCall; member Watauga Club and Golf and Country Club, Nashville; Secretary and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Columbia Military Academy since its organization.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><i>Source: Who\u2019s Who in Tennessee: A Biographical Reference Book of Notable Tennesseans of To-Day<\/i>.
