District; Presidential Elector at Large 1884, 1892; Pension Agent at Knoxville, Tenn., 1885-87; nominated for Governor of Tennessee by Democratic party 1910; Governor of Tennessee three terms, 1887-91, 1897-99; U. S. Senator 1907; admitted to bar 1878, and practiced law at Johnson City and Chattanooga, Tenn.; Editor-in-chief of Bob Taylor\u2019s Magazine, 1905-06; editor the Taylor-Trotwood Magazine since 1906; married twice, first <b>Sarah L. BAIRD<\/b>, of Asheville, N. C., 1878; second, <b>Mamie L. ST.
