Browne; after serving his apprenticeship he remained with Mr. Browne for several years, but in 1892 went into business as junior member of the firm of Couillins &amp; Tisdale; two years later he formed a partnership with E.L. Rawlings under firm name of Rawlings &amp; Tisdale, which continued until 1899, when he purchased his partner&#8217;s interest and founded the house of Lew Tisdale &amp; Co., and at present he is general manager of same; member of Business Men&#8217;s Club, Menasha Hunting Club, I.O.O.F. and B.P.O.E.; he is also a 32 degree Mason, a Knight Templar, a Noble of Mystic Shrine, and a member of the Baptist church.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><i>Source: Who\u2019s Who in Tennessee: A Biographical Reference Book of Notable Tennesseans of To-Day<\/i>.
