WOOD, Henry Parker, lawyer; born Hardin Co., Tenn., Sept. 9, 1859; English descent; son of W. P. and Mary Elizabeth (Seay) WOOD; father was a farmer; paternal grandparents John and Mahala (Roberson) WOOD, maternal grandparents Louis and Deborah (Parker) SEAY; educated at Hardin College, Savannah, Tenn., and Missouri State University, Columbia, Mo., graduated from the latter with L. B. degree, March 25, 1885; began his career as a school teacher, and was principal of Hardin College, Savannah, Tenn., two years; Democrat; Mayor of Selmer several times; Judge of the Co. Court of McNairy Co., Tenn., from Jan. 1905 to Jan. 1908, resigned; married De Lola STEPHENSON, Aug. 29, 1885; member of the Christian church.
