Academy June 16, 1893; taught school in early life; married Etta May SMITH, Oct. 30, 1895; member I. O. O. F. and Scottish Rite Masons; Democrat; elected Mayor of Livingston, Tenn., Aug., 1908, re-elected 1910, and is the present incumbent; delegate to National Democratic convention, Denver, in 1908.
