High School, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, and University of Cincinnati; graduated at Wake Forest College, 1893, and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary 1899, with A.B., M.A., Th.M., Th.D. degrees; 32d degree Mason, Odd Fellow, Knight of Pythias and member “The Palaver,” “The Old Oak” and the “Country Club” of Nashville, Tenn.; Grand Chaplain Grand Lodge of Masons 1909-10; Pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church, Nashville; Author of “The Reconstruction of Religion,” “The Christian Conventionalist,” “The History of the Doctrine of Inspiration in the Eighth Century, B.
