ROY, Shane, attorney at law; born Henning, Lauderdale County, Tenn., August 20, 1887; son of Samuel Martin and Margaret Allen (Pipken) ROY; Scottish-Irish descent; graduate of University of Tennessee LL.B. 1909; member Masonic (Henning Lodge No. 654), K. of P. (Henning Lodge No. 209); admitted to bar in Lauderdale and Shelby counties to practice in all Circuit and Supreme Courts of State 1909; came to Memphis and became associated with Judge L. B. McFarland in rooms 1000-2 Memphis Trust Bldg; member of Methodist Episcopal Church (South).
