B. 1897; member Elks, Mountain City Club, Golf and Country Club, Chamber of Commerce; in 1898 entered banking business as bookkeeper for Hamilton Savings & Trust Company of Chattanooga; in 1899 promoted to teller and in 1900 made cashier, also cashier of Hamilton National Bank; Director of Continental Coal Corporation of Chattanooga; Director of American Publishing Company of Nashville; member First Christian Church of Chattanooga.
