MEADOW, Thomas R., banker; born Humphreys Co., Tenn., Oct. 22, 1865; son of Jacob E. and Susan (Crockett) MEADOW; father’s occupation, farmer; received common school education; in early life was a farmer, later was in Co. Clerk’s office as Deputy Co. Court Clerk, then Tax Assessor, then entered the mercantile business, in which he continued ten years; in 1903 organized the McEwen bank and was elected cashier, which position he still holds; married Mary E. McMURRY, Oct. 18, 1885; member Masonic Lodge No. 525; Democrat; member of Christian church.
