City Schools and Southwestern Baptist University; graduated from latter, A. B. June, 1901, L. B. May 30, 1902; began his business career as a school teacher, later was in Bradstreet’s law office; member of Red Men, J. O. U. A. M., Shakespeare Circle; Fusion Democrat; Deputy Clerk & Master at Jackson, Tenn., since 1904; member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
