KELLY, Frederick A., merchant, and banker; born at Granville, Tenn., April 20, 1858; Scotch-Irish descent; son of John J. and Mary F. (Armistead) KELLY; educated at Granville, and New Middleton, Tenn., Institute; in early life taught school; later was made Jackson Co., Trustee; in 1880 entered the retail mercantile business, in which business he is now engaged at Granville, Tenn.; former President of Bank of Gainesboro, Tenn., 1900-1905; now President of the Bank of Granville, Tenn.; Vice President and Treasurer of Kelley Mercantile Co., Granville, Tenn.; married Allie FOX, April 28, 1892; member Masonic Lodges to 32d degree Scottish Rite, (P, M.); Democrat; member M. E. church, South.
