GAISFORD, John, architect; born Warminster, Wilts, England, Oct. 6, 1875; English descent; son of Joseph and Sarah Ann (Annetts) GAISFORD; educated Warminster National School and Birkbeck Institute, London, successfully passed all examinations; married Waneta RALPH, of Oil City, Pa., June 1, 1904; member of all Masonic orders; came to U. S. in 1901; spent four years in and around Pittsburg, Pa., and located in Memphis, 1905; supervising architect Shelby County Court House, architect Jefferson Theater, Baptist Memorial Hospital, Y. M. C. A., Memphis, Tenn., Falls Bldg., and St. Luke’s church.
